What is Single Women Self Employment Scheme?
Ekal Mahila Swarojgar Yojana has been started by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushpa Singh Dhami ji, under which the government is providing financial assistance of up to ₹ 100000 to women for setting up self-employment so that women can bring a big change in their standard of living by setting up their own employment and become self-reliant. This scheme will play an important role in improving the standard of living of women. 50% of the assistance amount given under the scheme will be paid by the government, while the remaining 50% amount will have to be paid by the women, that is, women will pay the remaining assistance amount from the income received from self-employment.
The purpose of launching this scheme is to connect women with self-employment so that they can become self-reliant. Under this scheme, the government will benefit widows, divorced, abandoned and unmarried women above 35 years of age. The state government is also planning to benefit 3,50,000 women of the state under the scheme. Women can get assistance for setting up employment in agriculture, sheep and goat rearing scheme, poultry industry, fisheries industry and animal husbandry sector, in addition to this, self-employment is also included under the scheme.

- Single Women Self Employment Scheme is a scheme of the Central Government under which financial assistance of up to ₹ 100000 will be provided to destitute women for setting up self-employment.
- Under the scheme, single women such as widows, divorcees, abandoned and unmarried women can apply for the assistance amount.
- Under this scheme, out of one lakh, ₹50,000 will be paid by the government and the remaining ₹50,000 will have to be paid by the women through their income from employment.

Eligibility for Single Women Self Employment Scheme
- Only women between the age of 35 years to 45 years are eligible to apply for Ekal Mahila Swarojgar Yojana .
- Widows, divorced, married and unmarried women will get the benefit of Sole Self Employment Scheme.
- Poor and economically weak women will be eligible to apply under the scheme.
- It is mandatory for women to have all the necessary documents for this.
