What is Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana 2024?
This scheme has been started by the Uttar Pradesh government with the aim of brightening the future of daughters. The Uttar Pradesh government wants to change the mindset of daughters. It wants to create awareness among people towards women and daughters that whether it is a boy or a girl, both are equal. The sole aim of this scheme is to provide better opportunities to girls to move forward in every field. Through this scheme, the state government is going to provide financial assistance to the families of girls for their future and education.
In this scheme, girls from poor families will be given financial assistance of Rs 2 lakhs so that they can easily pursue their studies and achieve their future goals. Under the Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana, an amount of Rs 50,000 will be deposited in the account of a daughter on her birth. Women who have given birth to a daughter will be given an amount of Rs 5100 by the government so that they can take good care of their daughter. The aim of this scheme is also to prevent female foeticide. This will significantly improve the sex ratio.
The amount given to the daughters under Bhagyalakshmi Yojana will be given in installments, this amount will go directly to their bank account, for this it is necessary for the girl to have a bank account, when the girl goes to different classes, she will be given the following financial assistance amount which is as follows.

- Only girls from Uttar Pradesh can apply in this scheme.
