Now you must be thinking that the Bihar government has started the horticulture mission but how much subsidy will it provide to the farmers for cultivating dragon fruit, strawberry and papaya, so let us tell you that according to the tweet of Bihar Government Horticulture Directorate, Agriculture Department, under the National Horticulture Mission, farmers will be provided 40%, 40% and 75% subsidy respectively for cultivating dragon fruit, strawberry and papaya. In which the highest subsidy of 75% is being given for cultivating papaya.
Many farmers cultivate papaya but they are not even aware of this scheme, due to which they are deprived of the benefits of subsidy. If such farmers invest Rs 1 lakh 25 thousand for dragon fruit and strawberry cultivation, then the government can give them a subsidy of 40% i.e. Rs 50000. But if the same farmers start cultivating papaya by investing Rs 60000, then they can get a subsidy of 75% i.e. Rs 45000.
