Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana 2024 | Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana (PMJDY) was launched on August 28, 2014. Under this scheme Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Class families have been linked with bank facilities.
This scheme was implemented in two phases. In which the first phase is from August 15, 2014 to August 14, 2015. And the second phase from August 15, 2015 to August 14, 2018.

Additional insurance assistance of up to Rs.30,000 was provided to those who opened the account till January 26, 2015.
Jan Dhan can also avail overdraft facility of Rs.5000 after 6 months after opening the account.
According to the information received by the central government, 24.61 crore women have joined this Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana till December 29, 2021.
Under this, the slogan for this scheme has also been launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which will be run by the slogan My Account, Fortune Teller i.e. “Me Ra Khate Bhagya Vidhata “.
In the second phase, the facility of pension micro insurance has been started, under which loan assistance and pension assistance will be provided to the beneficiaries.
